This private week-long route leaves Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains and the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, down through the Dades Valley to a night in a Berber desert camp at Merzouga. From there the route turns north through the Ziz Valley and the cedar forests of Ifrane to finish in Fes, Morocco's oldest imperial city. Marrakech city tour
A guided morning through the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Majorelle Garden, followed by free time in the souks. Overnight in Marrakech.
Marrakech → Dades Valley via Ait Benhaddou
Cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass through the High Atlas, stopping at the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, before continuing to the Dades Valley for the night.
Dades Valley → Merzouga
Drive via the Todra Gorge and the palmeries of Tinghir and Erfoud to Merzouga, arriving in time to watch the sun set over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Merzouga desert day
A free morning at the edge of the Sahara, then a sunset camel trek into the dunes and a night in a traditional Berber desert camp with music around the campfire.
Merzouga → Fes via Ifrane
A long scenic drive north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, and the cedar forests of Ifrane (look out for Barbary macaques), arriving in Fes by evening.
Fes medina & departure
A guided morning through the Fes el-Bali medina — the Bou Inania Madrasa, the tanneries, and Al Quaraouiyine — before your private transfer to the airport or onward journey.
