For seven days, we recommend choosing either a southern Marrakech–Atlas–Sahara route or a northern Marrakech–Fes route rather than forcing every major city into one week.
Recommended southern route
Days 1–2: Marrakech
Arrival, riad, private medina guide and one flexible half-day.
Day 3: High Atlas and Aït Benhaddou
Travel south with selected stops and overnight near Skoura or the valley route.
Day 4: Dadès / Todra
Continue through the southern landscapes at a comfortable pace.
Days 5–6: Sahara
One full desert arrival day plus a slower morning or second night depending on preference.
Day 7: Departure or extension
For better pacing, consider flying out of Errachidia where flight schedules allow, or add days if returning overland to Marrakech.
What we would not do
We would not recommend combining Marrakech, Sahara, Fes, Chefchaouen and Essaouira in seven days for a private leisure client who wants comfort.

Yes. A Marrakech-to-Sahara route works well when the drive is broken through the High Atlas and southern valleys.
